The Finch College Alumnae Association Foundation makes it possible for women to continue college and begin preparing for professional careers. The Foundation is a non-profit organization under 501(c)(3) which strongly endorses the education of today's young women. Two distinct programs are in place to make this possible.

The Finch Scholar Program operates in conjunction with The New York Women's Foundation, an organization that supports hands-on philanthropy with community-driven projects to address the needs of low-income women and girls of New York City. Women already in college are given intern positions with The New York Women's Foundation as Finch Scholars and are paid an hourly stipend funded by The Finch College Alumnae Association Foundation. The New York Women's Foundation works with corporate sponsors where Finch Scholars are introduced to and exposed to the world of business and meet women executives as role models and assume hands-on responsibilities such as organizing and executing a career day, researching environmental justice and maintaining a database. One Finch Scholar reports. "my 7-month long internship proved to be an invaluable experience, the staff was supportive and involved, the experience directed my future professional plans".
