The Finch College Alumni Association Foundation Trust makes it possible for today’s young women to continue college and begin preparing for professional careers. Although our college closed long ago, we know and appreciate how much a fine education has contributed our happiness and success in life.
There are three distinct annual programs:
THE FINCH COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP AT BIRCH WATHEN LENOX SCHOOL. A secondary school student at this school, also founded by Miss Jessica Cosgrave, receives partial tuition for the remainder of her studies at the school. This scholarship is fully funded by Birch Wathen Lenox School and awarded at their discretion.
THE FREYA MOSKOWITZ STERN SCHOLARSHIP is named in memory of our Finch College graduate through a generous donation from her family. It is awarded annually to four Community College women in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area who are transferring to any accredited four-year college in The United States. Each scholarship totals $5,000 and is awarded in two segments: $2,500 upon acceptance to the four-year college, and another $2,500 upon entering her final term before graduation.
THE FINCH COLLEGE ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP is also awarded to a Community College woman in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area transferring to any accredited four-year college in The United States. The timing of the $5,000 award is the same, $2,500 each year. Several are awarded annually.
Funds for THE FINCH COLLEGE ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP are raised through generous donations by our alumni and fundraising events held throughout the year. The Finch College Alumni Association Foundation Trust is a 501(C)3 organization and all donations are fully tax deductible. The number of scholarships awarded annually will vary.
