THE FINCH COLLEGE ASSOCIATION was organized in 1993 with the aim of reviving the spirit of the College among its widely separated graduates, teachers and friends; to rekindle old friendships where precious contacts were lost; and to discover the joy of new friendships across the generations of the Finch community. The first Finch College Association Directory, issued in 1993, was much appreciated because it provided Finch women with news of long lost classmates and professors. Beginning with the 1993 Reunion, celebrations have been held each spring and fall, to which the response has been amazing and wonderful. The success of these efforts in behalf of a College that closed its doors in 1975, more than 30 years ago, is a tribute not only to the Herculean efforts of the Finch volunteers who have made all of this possible, but also to the unique character of Finch itself and the woman who founded it, Jessica Garretson Finch Cosgrave.
